  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 cup vegetable stock
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup ghee or melted butter


1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2. In a large bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil, cumin seeds, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, ginger, garam masala, turmeric, and salt. Mix well.

3. Spread mixture in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until shrimp are pink and slightly cooked through.

4. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, bring chicken stock and vegetable stock to a boil. Remove from heat.

5. Pour stock mixture over shrimp mixture. Toss to combine.

6. Garnish with cilantro, mint, basil, yogurt, lemon juice, ghee, and salt, if desired. Serve warm.
